General
Is it safe to get a tattoo?
At Grip Tattoo Studio, we prioritize your well-being with the highest hygiene standards, single-use needles, and disposable equipment. Our artists are trained in sanitation protocols, and we provide a consent form for rare cases when a tattoo may not be suitable. Your health and safety come first.
Does it hurt?
Yes, getting a tattoo may cause some discomfort, but it's usually not unbearable. Pain levels depend on your tolerance and the tattoo location. Our artists are trained to minimize discomfort and use top-quality equipment for a smooth process.
Can I bring my own drawing for my tattoo?
Absolutely! We want your tattoo to reflect your vision. Bring anything that helps convey your ideas, and our team will collaborate with you to design a custom piece. We also have reference books and flash sheets for inspiration, so even without a specific drawing, we’ll create something unique.
How much will it cost?
The cost of your tattoo depends on the size and detail of the design, and some pieces may require multiple sessions. During your consultation, your artist of choice will provide a quote based on your design. We prioritize quality over quantity, believing that you get what you pay for. Since this is a permanent piece of art, it's worth investing in a high-quality piece.
What is your deposit policy?
To secure your appointment, a deposit is required, payable in cash or via transfer. This will be deducted from your final tattoo price. Deposits ensure your commitment and compensate the artist if you miss your appointment. Cancellations or no-shows result in losing the deposit, and rescheduling is allowed once per deposit. This policy helps protect our artists' time and interests.
Are there any requirements to get tattooed?
In order to get a tattoo, you must be 18 years or older due to health rules and regulations.
I have a tattoo that is really bad, can it be fixed?
Our artists can usually cover or fix most tattoos, even difficult ones, so you'd never know they were there. We’re always honest—if we don’t think a cover-up will work, we’ll let you know and discuss alternative options to ensure you’re happy with the result.
How do I take care of my new tattoo?
Taking care of your new tattoo is crucial for proper healing and the best results. You’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions before you leave. Keep the area clean and moisturized, avoid tight clothing, direct sunlight, swimming, and activities that cause friction. Avoid picking or scratching the area to prevent scarring and infection.
Can I get a tattoo if I am pregnant or nursing?
Tattoos are not recommended during pregnancy or nursing due to potential risks. We also do not tattoo anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Do you do cover-ups or removals?
Cover-ups involve designing a new tattoo to hide an old one, while removals use laser technology to break down the ink over multiple sessions. We’ll provide all the information you need to choose the best option for you.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes, we offer gift certificates in any amount, which can be used for services or merchandise in our studio. They make a great gift for birthdays, holidays, or special occasions. Gift certificates are non-refundable and must be presented at the time of use.
Do you do walk-ins or do I need to make an appointment?
We welcome both walk-ins and appointments, but we highly recommend booking in advance to guarantee availability and minimize wait times. Walk-ins are served on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have a specific artist in mind, booking ensures they’ll be available to work with you.
